How old your gutters are
New (under 7 years), aged (8 to 18 years) or old (19 years and up). A rough guess is fine.
What they are doing
Do they look bad, overflow, leak or fall off the house? Is there hail damage? Whatever you see when it rains is useful.
How big the house is
Your home's approximate square footage, so the run of gutter can be sized up before anyone climbs a ladder.
Whether the gutters are higher than 15 feet
Tell us if the eaves reach past 15 feet, and how many stories the house is, since height changes the setup.
Whether you already have gutter guards
Guards change how gutters are cleaned and flushed, so it helps to know if any are on the house.
Any fascia or soffit damage you can see
Soft, rotted, sagging or missing boards and panels along the roof edge.
One thing worth knowing before new gutters go up: on older homes the fascia is often damaged, and that can lead to structural problems if it is ignored. The crew is trained to fix those issues before installing the new gutters. Every install and repair then comes with a warranty, and you can read the terms on the warranty page.
